Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics

The Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics is an international research institute with approx. 400 employees, working in the field of molecular genetics. A special focus lies on functional genomics of man and other organisms.

The Max Planck Research Group "Epigenomics" combines both experimental and computational approaches to unravel the impact of chromatin structure and -modifications on transcriptional regulation.

Within the DEEP consortium our lab will provide histone modification maps of cells involved in chronic inflammatory diseases. Furthermore, in close collaboration with the group of Martin Vingron at the institute we will contribute to the analysis of the data, with the goal to understand the impact of epigenomic changes in the diseases studied by DEEP.
