DEEP Annual Meeting 2016

DEEP consortium

Starting into the final year of the project, partners of the German epigenome programme DEEP gathered on October 05-06 at the Medical Faculty of the University of Duisburg-Essen for its fourth annual meeting. 60 participants from 17 DEEP partner groups presented their work progress. Coordinator Jörn Walter summarized the achievements of the meeting: “We are well in plan with our aims and goals, strongly positioning DEEP within the international consortium IHEC. We finished and published the first set of 43 epigenomes and excellent method and data analysis papers have been published in 2016 with more to follow in the IHEC paper package until the end of this year. Our final plan for 2017 is worked out. Our meeting demonstrated that DEEP has formed a strong interdisciplinary alliance and networks of german epigenetic research teams - an excellent foundation for future epigenome research in Germany.”

The DEEP project will host the IHEC Annual Meeting in October 2017 in Berlin. DEEP partners are looking forward to present the final results of the project to an international audience at this occasion.
