DEEP Researchers Welcome International Human Epigenome Consortium to Berlin

Annual Meeting and scientific Symposium taking place in the German capital from 12 to 14 October

This week Berlin will be the venue for epigenomics researchers from around the world. Hosting this year’s annual meeting of the International Human Epigenome Consortium (IHEC) on 12 October followed by the “Science Days” Symposium on 13 and 14 October the consortium of the German Epigenome Programme (DEEP) welcomes their international colleagues to Berlin. The three-day conference also marks the final meeting of DEEP. The national research initiative started in 2012 and has received € 20 Mio funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research over the past five years.

“As central partner in IHEC, DEEP has made sustainable contributions to international epigenomics research, and has played a decisive role in shaping the consortium”, said Prof. Jörn Walter from Saarland University, coordinator of DEEP and Co-Chair of the IHEC International Scientific Steering Committee.
