Taking Epigenetic Research a Major Step Forward

In response to the contribution of DEEP research teams to the coordinated release of 41 papers by the International Human Epigenome Consortium (IHEC) last November, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has published an online article highlighting the achievements of DEEP for international epigenome research. Four manuscripts resulting from studies within DEEP are part of this outstanding collection of articles, and have been published in the renowned journals Immunity, Nature Communications, Epigenetics & Chromatin und Nucleic Acids Research.

“The scientific excellence and medical significance of this set of joint publications underlines the strength and efficiency that comes from interdisciplinary international research. We as DEEP are proud to participate in shaping such groundbreaking research,” said Prof. Jörn Walter, coordinator of DEEP and co-chair of the International Scientific Steering Committee of IHEC.
